Xolve’s technical platform is capable of identifying optimum solvents to achieve solutions of a wide range of nanoparticles to include some of the foundation materials of nanotechnology—nanotubes and graphene-making these materials useful to a degree previously unknown. This technical platform is also capable of exfoliating nano-scale molecules from a mass as the Company has demonstrated in its production of high quality graphene from graphite, and of optimizing, for tunable properties, complex solutions and polymer matrices containing nano and other materials.
Tool Set Facilitates Practical Applications
Xolve’s tool set utilizes three pathways for bringing exfoliated nanomaterials into target materials while maintaining exfoliation. Through this method, Xolve has been successful in modifying the attributes of a wide range of polymer composite and energy storage materials. Xolve’s high purity graphene nanoplatelets economically replaces many times its weight in standard carbon fillers. This capability, combined with the low cost of Xolve graphene, substantially shifts the price/performance of Xolve’s graphene-enhanced polymers. Further, Xolve graphene is capable of positively modifying multiple attributes simultaneously, ending the need to trade improvements in one attribute against those of another.
